About Club Nights

Club nights provide swimmers with the opportunity to experience carnival style races in a more relaxed environment with a friendly and fun atmosphere. They also give swimmers the opportunity to keep track of their times in preparation for upcoming Swim Meets.

Events for all four strokes are held every club night for 16m, 25m and 50m distances.

The 16m races are held in the shallow end of the 25m pool at the start of the night for our youngest members. In-pool support from friendly squad members is available.

Club nights are run on Friday nights during Term 4 and Term 1 starting at 6.00pm for both the 16m events and events in the 50m pool.

Nominations

All nominations need to be completed via SwimCentral prior to 5:00pm each Thursday evening. No nominations will be accepted on pool deck.

Nominations are not required for our youngest swimmers wishing to swim in the 16m events – just turn up at the 25m pool before 6.00pm ready to race.

Location

All club nights and the club championships are held at Langlands Park Memorial Pool in Stones Corner, Brisbane. The pool is closed to the public for Friday night club nights. We rely on our members and families to assist in the smooth running of the night.

Volunteers

To run successful club nights, we rely on the help from all families throughout the year. Aside from those already committed to a committee position, we will also require your assistance on occasion to fill some roles. Volunteering not only assists in a smooth night, but is also a great way to get to know other families. We thank you in advance for helping to support your children and the Club. We expect each family to volunteer for at least 2 club night shifts throughout the season on the BBQ or with timekeeping.
