Coaches would like swimmers to arrive 90 mins prior to their event for warm up. Warm up will commence at 4:30pm Friday and 7:00am Saturday and Sunday. The competition pool may be used for warm up, until 15 minutes prior to racing commencing. The outdoor pool will be in use for the duration of the meet; the dive pool may not be used.

SEATING & TICKETING

All spectators over 16yrs require a ticket.  Tickets are available for purchase online through Ticketbooth ($8.18) and at the front gate via EFTPOS ($8.50). Link for tickets HERE

Brisbane Jets traditionally sit in Section 13 lower.  If you are there early, please reserve as many seats as possible in this area. We have 38 swimmers competing this weekend.

MARSHALLING

Self-marshalling will be in place for this Championships. Swimmers should ensure they are in the designated self-marshalling area:

• 8 heats prior for 50m events,

• 3 heats prior for 100m and 200m events,

• 2 heats prior for 400m events, and

• 1 heat prior for 800m* and 1500m* events.

*Events of 400m and over require swimmers (or their Coach / Team Manager) to confirm their intention to swim. This must be completed at the Help Desk, a minimum of one hour prior to the published start time of the relevant event. Failure to confirm their intention to swim will be taken as a withdrawal. Confirmed swimmers must then follow the self-marshalling procedures.

Instructions for Self Marshalling:

1. Enter pool deck according to the number heats prior (as mentioned above)

2. Proceed to the lane they’re allocated

3. Move progressively forward, with the other swimmers in their heat. The check starter will ensure swimmers are in the correct lane for each race.

During the event, swimmers can approach the Help Desk (located on pool deck at the start end) for assistance as required or ask their club manager or coach.

To assist with marshalling use a permanent marker pen to write Event #, Heat # and Lane # on the swimmer’s arm for easy reference for everyone (parents, kids, marshallers). For example if swimming in Event 4, Heat 1, Lane 5 you would write E4 H1 L5 on the arm like this:

UNIFORM:

It is mandatory that swimmers wear a Brisbane Jets Cap for racing. Having a spare cap is also a good idea.

If your child requires a Brisbane Jets swim cap, please buy one on the online uniform shop here and show your receipt to a committee member, we will have some caps at Chandler for this meet.

WARM DOWN:

Swimmers are to report to the coaches immediately after their race for warm down instructions at the outdoor pool (see map).

STILL NEED HELP?

Some of the committee have young kids racing this weekend so if you have questions just look for a Jets parent wearing the club shirt they will be more than happy to help you out.

Coach Felipe will be present at this meet.
